SUMMARY:The consultant's vulnerability as success factor in organizational change - Mayke Wagner-Froböse
DESCRIPTION:The consultant’s vulnerability is rarely considered a success factor for organizational change processes. On the contrary\, the client often expects the external consultant to have a grip on the process and to provide security and stability particularly when the client is facing uncertainty anyway due to the change process. We will explore the idea that conveying security and stability and the willingness to utilize one’s own vulnerability are not contradictory. The 202 aims to increase the participants’ awareness of their own vulnerability\, to welcome this experience of being vulnerable and to understand the potential of it. \nThis event is targeted at all practitioners of all levels in the organisational field. (20 spaces only) \nMayke Wagner-Froboise is a TSTA in the organizational field\, based in Germany. In addition to her TA trainings\, she is a self-employed organizational consultant combining a relational and a systemic approach. As coach\, team developer\, or organizational consultant\, she focusses on intra- and interpersonal dynamics as she considers these crucial for the success of every change.

SUMMARY:Revisiting Ego State Relational Units and Resistance to Change - Ray Little
DESCRIPTION:After nearly 20 years since I first published my ideas and thoughts about relational units\, I’ll share my current understanding and application to clinical work. We will examine the internalisation and nature of ego state relational units and their manifestation in the transference-countertransference relationship and their impact on therapy. \nIn the workshop\, we will examine the need to establish a ‘good’ object relationship with the therapist as a foundation for working through the ego state relational units as they emerge in therapy. Participants will be encouraged to share their understanding and questions. \nThis event is primarily aimed at Students\, Trainees and Qualified Practitioners from the Psychotherapy and counselling fields. \nRay Little is a psychotherapist\, supervisor and trainer based in Edinburgh\, Scotland and is a founding member of IARTA. He has been working as a psychotherapist for over thirty years. The therapeutic focus for Ray is with the transference-countertransference relationship\, with the therapeutic method primarily focused on the here-&-now of the therapeutic dyad. Ray won the Eric Berne Memorial Award in 2019 “in recognition of an original and highly significant theoretical and practical contribution made to the field of transactional analysis” (ITAA). This award was made specifically in recognition of three articles\, including one entitled: Ego State Relational Units and Resistance to Change (2006).

SUMMARY:Approaches in Supervision - Servaas van Beekum
DESCRIPTION:Supervision has grown into an important procedure and resource for promoting professionalism in many fields\, especially those that have a high degree of independent responsibility and in which creativity is more important than following learned procedures. Communication is essential\, and a complex context (social\, organizational\, interpersonal\, and intrapsychic) must be taken into account. Contemporary supervision involves a process of continued oscillation between practice and meta-reflection. \nThis event is opened to practitioners at all levels and fields. \nServaas van Beekum is a social scientist with a special interest in analytic\, systemic and humanistic approaches in psychotherapy and consulting. He is a past president of both EAA and ITAA and a founding member of international associations for supervision and of associations that study unconscious process in groups and organizations. He has written over 30 articles and book chapters and was awarded with the 2015 Eric Berne Memorial Award for his work to bring back the concept of the unconscious into transactional analysis. He is active as a psychotherapist\, corporate psychologist and strategy consultant. After being born\, raised\, educated and having worked in Europe\, Servaas moved to Sydney some 20+ years ago\, rebuilding and continuing his practice. Since Covid he has moved most of his international teaching and workshopping online.
