IARTA’s forthcoming Colloquium February 2021

Our Colloquium will take place from Monday February 22nd and finish on Sunday February 28th. 2021 you are warmly invited to take part; we will send you joining procedures nearer the start time.

In this colloquium we will be discussing the themes from Carole Shadbolt’s recently published article, “Psychotherapy in the time of Covid-19” (Psychotherapy Changes Shape and Steps Forward) which is available on the IARTA website as well as from Wiley publishers free of charge and is linked here.

The article is an articulation of the challenges that the pandemic has brought to our work and lives in the last year. It will be relevant to all fields of psychotherapy. In particular we will discuss the idea of the “Covid Third”, the triangular space of therapeutic relatedness in the different relational contexts of the pandemic.

Carole will be joined by the steering group and invited members to discuss the themes which interest them and after the usual opening posts and responses everyone will be invited to participate with their own contributions.

The colloquium is moderated as usual by Mica Douglas and Suzanne Boyd.

We look forward to being with you on the colloquium and further details will follow this preliminary announcement.

Very warm regards, to all

from the IARTA Steering Committee.
